Assays with coupling agents that can be used on an industrial scale to immobilize a cyclodextrin derivative on a textile surface - Analytical assays to characterize the functionalized surface - Participation to the valorization of results and their potential transfer to industrial partners.

In recent years, so-called "smart" textiles are developing. It is possible to immobilize various compounds on textile fibers. We have therefore decided to integrate cyclodextrin derivatives having ability to scavenge some organophosphorus compounds for the design of new decontamination materials. To reach this objective, the decontaminating moiety is immobilized on a suitable textile with a sufficient mechanical strength allowing its use on different flexible or rigid surfaces. The results obtained by our laboratory to access to a such device are currently being patented by CNRS. As part of a « pre-maturation » project funded by the CNRS, we are looking for recruiting a post-doctoral fellow whose mission will be to extend the original patent claims. The first developments will permit implementation of high value-added decontamination textiles for safety, defense and agrochemicals application.

The COBRA laboratory (Bioorganic Organic Chemistry Reactivity and Analysis) is a research unit (UMR-6014) involving the University of Rouen Normandy, the INSA of Rouen Normandy and the CNRS. It includes 5 teams whose bio-organic chemistry team to which our group is attached. The post-doctoral position offer is part of a research theme focused on fight against organophosphorus nerve agents.

Eligibility criteria

The successful candidate (PhD in organic chemistry) should have a strong background in supramolecular and macromolecular chemistry, as well as good knowledge in medicinal chemistry. He (she) should be highly motivated to join a multidisciplinary research team, and specifically interested in pre-industrial projets.
