OECD-EU Research and Development Careers Survey 2026

ocde-work

Are you working in research and development (R&D)? Take part before the end of September and help put the spotlight on the world’s R&D community!

The OECD and EU have joined forces to develop a new international survey of personnel working in research and development. It takes around ten minutes to complete. The insights it generates will help policymakers and the wider community understand how R&D work and careers are evolving. Taking the time to respond ensures that your voice and experience are reflected in the evidence base guiding future policy on R&D careers.

The survey is open to individuals working in research and development across all sectors and disciplines. Your contribution is valuable if you conduct research; or contribute to developing / engineering new or improved products or processes and/or bringing them into practical use; or lead or manage R&D projects and/or teams; or provide technical support to R&D activities, collect, process or maintain data for R&D activities; or carry out administrative functions related to R&D activities; or contribute to securing funding for R&D activities (e.g. from R&D grants, venture capital, commissioned R&D); or provide scientific education and training.

You can access the survey (through ORCID or requesting an email invite) at https://oe.cd/RD2026. It is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.
