Offer Description:

A call for applications is open for a Research Grant (BI), for the Project "Blue Design Alliance (BDA)", funded by "PRR - Impulso Adulto".  Recovery and Resilience Plan and by the NextGenerationEU”, under the following conditions:

 

1. scientific area:

2. Admission requirements:

The candidate must be:

- Level of Qualification: Degree;

- The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in the field of Economics;

- The candidate must be enrolled in a master's degree program in the field of Management and 

Administration;

- Suitability of the candidate's training and experience to the objectives of the work to be 

developed.

 

Desired profile:

- Knowledge of how to support the monitoring and management of academic and scientific projects, ensuring that academic responsibilities and deadlines are met and as agreed between partners;

- Knowledge of creating and developing academic and scientific marketing and communication campaigns;

- Proficiency in Portuguese and English, both oral and written.

 

3. Work plan:

The main tasks of this plan are:

1) To support the day-to-day activities of the actors and stakeholders in the project;

2) Support the management of the teaching activity to be carried out in the context of the project, namely the administrative and support aspects of the pedagogical component;

 3) Collect and process statistical information relating to teachers, students, partners academics, companies and other stakeholders in the project;

 4) Gather the evidence of the project and report according to the needs and requirements of the schedule previously established by the partners.

 

4. Goals:

1) Ensure the execution of all the project's educational activities;

2) Maintaining an open and close communication channel with all partners 

internal and external;

3) Supporting the coordination of the logistics and communication component of the project, 

namely in the context of training and research activities;

4) Supporting management in fulfilling the contractual commitments established between 

IPB and the interested parties.

 

5. Applicable legislation and regulations:

Statute of the Scientific Research Fellow, approved by Law no. 40/2004, of August 18, in its current wording August, in its current wording; FCT, I. P. 6. Workplace and scientific orientation:

The work will be carried out in Bragança, at the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Bem-Estar - Chaves, Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Bragança, Portugal, under the scientific supervision of Maria José Gonçalves Alves; Alcina Nunes.

 

7. Duration of the grant:

The scholarship will have an initial duration of 12 months, starting on 04/08/2025  with the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of 24 months, including the initial period. 

 

 

8. Amount of the monthly maintenance allowance:

The fellow will benefit from a grant of €1.040,98, as per the table of remuneration of FCT,I.P..

The fellow will also benefit from personal accident insurance, and if not included in any social

 security protocol, may adhere to the Portuguese Social Security through the Seguro Social

 Voluntário (Voluntary Social Security), in the terms present inthePortuguese Código dos Regimes

 Contributivos do Sistema Previdencial de Segurança Social. The monthly grant will be paid by bank

 transfer.

 

9. Selection methods and how they will be assessed:

The selection methods to be used will be as follows:

 a) Curriculum evaluation and its suitability for the job in question (50%);

 b) Experience and contribution in supporting the management and execution of academic projects and scientific (20%);

 c) Face-to-face interview (30%).

 The jury may not award the scholarship if the candidates' marks are lower than 9.5.

 

10. Composition of the Selection Panel:

The jury is made up of  Maria José Alves (chairman), Alcina Nunes (member) and Maria Manuela Pires (member).

 

 

11. Form of publication/notification of results

The communications and final results of the evaluation will be made public through the IPB's application submission portal or, if necessary, through notification by email.

 

12. Application deadline:

The competition is open from 27/06/2025 to 10/07/2025.

 

13. How to submit applications:

Applications may be formalized through the IPB application submission portal (http://concursos.ipb.pt), with the inclusion of the following documents:

a) Curriculum Vitae;

b) Certificate of qualifications;

 c) Motivation letter;

 d) Other documents deemed relevant.

 

Documents proving that you hold academic degrees or diplomas, or that you are registration for an academic degree or diploma may be waived at the application stage, being replaced by a declaration of honor from the candidate, and it is compulsory to verification of this condition at the grant contracting stage. Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries need to be recognized by a Portuguese institution in accordance with Decree-Law no. 66/2018, of August 16 and Ordinance no. 33/2019, of January 25. The presentation of recognition is mandatory for signing the contract.

 

14. Time limits and procedures for complaints and appeals:

If the decision to be taken is unfavorable to the granting of the grant applied for, candidates have a period of 10 working days after the date of publication of the results of the evaluation, a prior hearing, under the terms of the Code of Administrative Procedure. An appeal against the final decision may be lodged with the President of the IPB within 15 days after notification.

The jury may not award the scholarship if the candidates' classification is lower than 9.5 values.

 

The jury will be composed by Maria José Alves (presidente); Alcina Nunes (vogal); Maria Manuela Pires (vogal).

If the decision to be taken is unfavorable to the granting of the requested scholarship, the candidates have a period of 10 working days, after the date of publication of the evaluation results, to express their opinion, if desired, in a prior hearing, under the terms provided for in the Code of the Administrative Procedure.

An appeal may be filed against the final decision to the President of the IPB within 15 working days after the respective notification.
